I really love this touching commercial where we Malaysian tend to forgotten our morals and values that need to be teach to us since we're young. In this ads, the parents failed to teach their children how to behave with young folks, and through observation, they want their parents to be like what they did to the grandpa/father of their mother.
In this ads also, the director are trying to communicate to young minds on how to actually respect both of our parents, it touch our emotions when we look at the man/the husband are trying so hard not to bring the father home, being rude to him, and showing bad example in front of the kids. It also encourage young mind to remember their father (in this case) sacrifice and hardship to make raise them until she become an adult.
Apart from it, Hari Raya is synonym to day of forgiven and forgotten our past mistake. At the end of this ads, the mother apologize to her father, which shows how we as human being need to say "sorry" whenever we do a mistake or being rude to other people.....
I cried everytime i watch this ads. Yasmin Ahmad leaves great legacy, she tries to speak her mind out through observation that she can look in our generation nowadays, experiences and how she manage to create many emotion only by using a simple 60sec - 3mins ads. How brilliant! I adore her creativity so much, she truly really inspire me a lot. Al-Fatihah.
